Sociologist, labour market researcher and analyst. Currently working in Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI) in the Hague, Netherlands and at Jagiellonian University (Centre for Evaluation and Analysis of Public Policies) in Krakow, Poland.

His research interest covers in particular sociology of economy, problems and changes of labour markets, population ageing, impact of population ageing on economy, social gerontology, education and lifelong learning, destandardization of lifecourses, social inequalities, public policy analysis and evaluation, EU policy, pragmatism in philosophy and methodology od science. He specializes in quantitative researches and advanced statistical analysis (especially in panel and multilevel analysis).

Received his PhD in 2015 in the Institute of Sociology of Jagiellonian University. The dissertation, supervised by prof. Jarosław Górniak, considered the role of employers in labour market situation of older people and the impact of population ageing on labour markets. During his PhD studies he participated in advanced statistical training programs, including ICPSR Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research at the University of Michigan and ECPR School in Methods and Techniques in Vienna. The important prizes and distinctions include: distinction for PhD dissertation, DOCTUS Scholarship for best PhD students in Małopolska, Rektor's Scholarship for best PhD students in JU and the prize for outstanding scientific achievements for PhD students. 

In 2017 he received a grant in prestigious European programme Horizon 2020 – Maria Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship. His two-year project LEEP – Longitudinal employer–employee perspectives on the role of human capital investments for retirement transitions is conducted in the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI) in the Hague under supervision of Prof. Kéne Henkens. 

Since 2010 he is a core member of the Human Capital Study, the largest research project of the labour market in Poland and since 2016 he coordinates the Working Population Research within Human Capital Study. He has also worked in international project Activating Senior Potential in Ageing Europe under 7 Framework Programme and participated in few other international projects (e.g. The Policy Ideas and Practice of AgeingCarers@Work). He is strongly involved in public policy analysis, including Study on the expected results of Cohesion Policy in Poland within the programming period 2014 2020 for the European Commission, where coordinated the topic of education. He is also a co-author of the Polish national strategy for years 2013-2020 Solidarity between Generations – Actions for improvement of economic activity of people aged 50+ (as a coordinator of the topic of improving competencies and lifelong learning). Currently he is working in the German-Polish project The making of the mature entrepreneur: life course perspective on entrepreneurship in older age in Germany and Poland financed by DFG.
